How I handle personal information when you visit this website, contact me, or book an introductory call.

Who is responsible for your information?

I am Edward Levin, an independent consultant in Denmark (CVR 46702158). Registered business address: Mølagervej 1A, 8382 Hinnerup, Denmark. You can contact me about this notice or my use of personal information at edward@edwardlevin.dk. The official CVR record on Virk provides the business registration details.

Visiting this website

The optional Fit Check uses JavaScript in your browser to compare requirements you explicitly confirm against a limited published professional-evidence map. A free-text project overview supplies context and does not independently create confirmed evidence matches. The checker does not send your assessment inputs to me, an AI service, or a matching service, and does not save them in browser storage. Opening this website may still generate ordinary hosting and security records at Cloudflare. Browser extensions and browser services are outside the checker’s control. Enter only broad, nonconfidential project information.

This is a static website hosted by Cloudflare Pages. It does not embed advertising trackers, optional website analytics, newsletter forms, or booking widgets. If you follow the booking link, you leave this site for Calendly. Essential hosting and security processing can still occur when you request a page.

Cloudflare, as my website host and security provider, may process technical information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser and device information, and security events to deliver the site and protect it against misuse. I rely on my legitimate interest in maintaining an available and secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies depending on the features actually enabled.

When you email me

If you contact me, I process your name, email address, any organization or role you mention, the contents of your message, and subsequent correspondence. I use the information to respond, understand your requirements, evaluate whether I can help, and discuss a possible engagement.

I rely on my legitimate interest in handling professional inquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); when a person requests pre-contractual steps, Article 6(1)(b) may also apply. Please do not email passwords, sensitive personal information, or confidential security reports before appropriate arrangements are in place.

Business email is received and managed through Google Workspace using edward@edwardlevin.dk. Inquiries that do not become client engagements are retained for up to 12 months after the last substantive contact, unless a documented legal reason justifies longer retention.

Booking a free introductory call

The booking link opens Calendly, a separate website. If you book a free 30-minute introductory call, your name, email address, selected time, time zone and any optional information you enter may be processed to schedule the call, send confirmations and reminders, and handle changes or cancellations. Please do not include passwords, sensitive information, or confidential security findings in a booking.

Calendly bookings synchronize to Google Calendar in my Google Workspace account, and the calendar event contains a Google Meet joining link. When you join, Google may process your displayed name, meeting information, and the audio, video, or chat you choose to share. I use these details to arrange and conduct the initial discussion. I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to professional inquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); Article 6(1)(b) may apply where you request steps before entering into a contract.

Calendly processes customer booking information under its Data Processing Addendum and separately provides privacy information about its own website and account services. Booking and Google Meet are not embedded in this website.

Booking-only records for introductory calls that do not lead to a client engagement have an approved maximum retention period of six months after the meeting. Substantive email exchanges follow the inquiry retention period. I do not record or transcribe introductory calls; Calendly AI Notetaker is disabled. A future AI note-taking service would require a separate privacy review before activation.

Service providers, disclosures, and transfers

I use Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Meet) for correspondence and appointments, and Calendly for booking. Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum has been accepted in the Workspace organization; Calendly's Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into its customer terms for covered booking information. Each provider may also handle some account, security or service information under its own privacy terms. Cloudflare Pages hosts this website and provides delivery and security services.

A European data-at-rest region is selected for covered Google Workspace services. This does not mean that all processing is confined to the EU. Calendly also processes information in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where GDPR-restricted transfers occur, the relevant provider terms describe safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers to certified US participants and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. For more information, see Google's processing addendum and transfer information, Calendly's processing addendum, and Cloudflare's data processing addendum. You can request further information on applicable safeguards through edward@edwardlevin.dk.

I may disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. External links to Calendly, LinkedIn, GitHub and VM4AI take you to independent websites with their own privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Inquiries that do not become client engagements have an approved retention period of no more than 12 months after the last substantive contact. Routine booking-only records for introductory calls that do not lead to an engagement have a period of no more than six months after the meeting. Substantive email correspondence related to a booking follows the inquiry period. I may delete information earlier if it is no longer needed. An active engagement, legal claim or statutory obligation may justify a separate, documented retention period.

I use a monthly manual review to identify business-controlled information due for deletion across Gmail, Google Calendar, and Calendly, including booking and invitee/contact records. These retention periods do not guarantee equivalent deletion timing for provider security logs or backups.

Accounting records may be subject to Danish bookkeeping requirements (generally five years after the end of the financial year to which they relate). These requirements are separate from ordinary inquiries and booking records.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, the GDPR may give you rights to access your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, and request data portability where applicable. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. Contact edward@edwardlevin.dk to make a request.

You can also file a complaint with Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Is providing information mandatory?

Visiting the public pages does not require you to identify yourself to me. Emailing or booking is optional, although your name and email address are generally needed to arrange a Calendly booking and respond to you. You can contact me by email instead of booking through Calendly.

Changes to this notice

I will update this notice when services, processing practices, or legal requirements change. This notice applies to the website and initial inquiries. Separate terms may apply to client engagements.
